Thomas, I can propose possibly Glowing or Activello themes as each are AdSense ready, very easy to monetize and personalize. I wouldn’t want to have static and web site pages bundled jointly. I’d choose to create a web site, so it opens as much as the home/front static web site and it has navigation leading to other pages, including the site
